Writing Marathon

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”

Ernest Hemingway

This month’s monthly meet-up is a writing marathon.

Surround yourself with other writers in next week’s common free time. Together we’ll write for an hour and a half, and then share what we’ve written. As good old Hemingway also once said, “the first draft of anything is shit”, but who knows? Maybe you’ll find some diamonds in what you’ve written that you can polish and cut into something new. Maybe you’ve got an idea you never got around to testing, or maybe you haven’t written in a while and want to get back into it.

Date: 31st May

Time: 12:00-2:00 pm

Location: 108:116

Also, if you’re still thinking about submitting your writing to the Coze Journal but have trouble getting started, come down to the marathon and give it your best shot. Submissions to Coze Journal close the same day on the May 31st, at 11:59 pm.
