Free Lunchtime Theatre is back! Continue a thriving free, student-managed theatre tradition that has been alive and well since 1978. This is a great opportunity to widen your horizons in the comfort of a theatre chair.

52 Hertz
Written and Directed by Terence Smith

September 6-8

AJAR
Written and Directed by Samuel Ireland

September 13-15
“Someone awakens, disoriented, in a dark room full of keys hanging from the ceiling, with a locked door in the corner. They hear breathing.”


WHO’S NEXT?
Written and Directed by Jack Wilson

September 20-22
“What’s your favourite scary movie? Well, Who’s Next? is going to try and show them all in a 40-minute extravaganza of slasher movie horror.”


RED ROVER
Written and Directed by Maddy Mullins

October 18-20
“On an unending solo circuit through the asteroids, two can be company but three is definitely a crowd. The path of human beings isn’t as predictable as planetary orbits.”


The theatre events are also available as part of the Hayman Theatre’s Sunday Night Theatre.

ABOUT FREE THEATRE…

This free theatre tradition has been alive and well since 1978. By the 1980s there was enough enthusiasm around the productions that they ran every week of every semester, and a special unit was established for senior students to manage the whole program.
